This is my now page. It tells you what I am focused on at this point in my life, the way I would tell a friend I had not seen in a year. The idea comes from Derek Sivers. My About page tells you who I am. This page tells you what I am up to.
One note: not every project from my life lands here. This list only holds the projects that have something to do with this site, the ones I think about a lot and that will get a post of their own.
Right now
- Learning environments for my students. I build learning platforms for my courses: SQL, Python (data engineering and data science), the SAP S/4HANA materials management case study (business information systems lab) and business process modelling with BPMN in Signavio (digitalisation of the circular economy).
- Hermes Agent. I keep working my way into Hermes Agent: which models fit which job, what they cost, and what the agents actually do in the background.
- My AI Crew. My small team of AI agents, and the series that documents how it grows. Every few weeks I post an update on who joined, who is barely used and what it costs. The first one is Meet My Hermes Crew: Update #1.
- M.Sc. in Artificial Intelligence. I study part-time next to my job.
- A new website. I am rebuilding this site right now. That is why some pages are still changing.
- A digital advent calendar (maybe). I am thinking about a digital advent calendar for my readers: one new post every day from 1 to 24 December, each with one nugget of knowledge about AI in higher education. It would be a source of inspiration for using AI in everyday academic work, shared with colleagues who are curious about it too. Think tips for using AI tools for teaching materials and for administrative work, how-tos for typical use cases, and which model suits which task. I have run two digital advent calendars before, back when I was self-employed, on technology and data protection. This one would be new, and I am still thinking about it.
